What is the goal? New information from credible messengers is what’s proven to persuade voters — that’s exactly our goal. These postcards make sure voters hear about the harmful Trump/GOP agenda and know who is to blame. Most importantly, we use real news headlines and avoid partisan messages so that voters trust the messenger.

How does it work? We mail you the postcards for free, along with voter lists and instructions with a short script. You will handwrite the message and the voter addresses. Orders of 100-300 postcards may take until early January to deliver — we prioritize orders of 500+ to ship within a few days. You will provide Postcard Stamps (currently $0.61) and mail the postcards on the instructed date.

When will you mail the cards to voters? You’re only responsible for one mailing, but there are a total of five mailing dates. If you need a bit longer than the mailing date on your instructions, that’s OK.

Sign-ups for our Get Out the Vote Postcards start on May 1, 2026. That program will include additional states, as well as competitive US House districts.

The results of the Virginia News Boosting postcard research will be shared once they’re available, which will be sometime in the spring of 2026. Our past research proves that our postcards can increase turnout by 1.3%. Go to the FAQ page for more information.

Over the next six or seven weeks, Illinoisan’s inboxes and social media feeds will be full of requests to fill out Witness Slips in support of, or in opposition to, legislative proposals.

What are they? Should I do them?

Witness slips are part of the legislative process in Illinois, and today, they are often used as tools for organizations to engage advocates in the legislative advocacy process. They come into play as bills are debated and voted upon in substantive committees.

Back in the day, witness slips were actual half-sheet size transfer paper in triplicate that lobbyists and others in the Illinois statehouse would fill out and submit prior to committee hearings to express their position on a specific bill.

The clerk who was staffing that hearing would read out the slips when the bill was called to be debated, listing all of the opponents and proponents. This was an easy shorthand for legislators to determine who they would be pleasing, or displeasing, with their vote.

By design, slips were an insider tool. You had to actually be there to do one, or know someone who was there who would submit one for you.

Then the internet happened.

Now, anyone with access to the internet can go onto the dashboard of Illinois General Assembly website and fill out slips for any bill they like.

Join the Witness Slip Team to let Illinois legislators know whether you support or oppose a bill. The process is simple and makes an impact. Once you join you will receive instructions and periodic emails that will require a quick (sometimes a few hours) turnaround action.

For almost 25 years, the Roadless Rule has protected millions of acres of wild forest from road construction, logging and mining.

These are the forests where more than 200 threatened and endangered species live, where ancient trees filter drinking water for millions of Americans and where the public can enjoy nature at its wildest.

Right now, the Forest Service is attempting to eradicate protections for these special places. If the protections are repealed, logging trucks and mining equipment could mow down the trees that make these forests so spectacular.

Our wild forests are too precious to leave unprotected. It’s time for Congress to pass the Roadless Area Conservation Act and enshrine the Roadless Rule into law, permanently safeguarding these special places.

Spotify claims these ads comply with their policy, but the truth is streaming hate is not neutral. It’s a choice.

The November 4 election was a massive victory for our democracy. In New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, and across the country, voters turned out at historic levels to say hell no to the regime. From ballot propositions and school boards to state Supreme Courts and gubernatorial races, the pro-democracy side is winning — and beating expectations by huge margins.

The wins were powered by thousands of grassroots volunteers who phone banked, doo rknocked , and texted; and dozens of Indivisible groups(like ILS who organized for months to secure this outcome. More than a million voters were contacted in the lead-up to Election Day.

Some folks question if the energy we’ve mobilized in the streets from Hands Off! to No Kings would translate to wave-like energy at the ballot box. Last night’s results prove the answer is yes. But we’ve got to keep organizing and growing our movement if we want to save our democracy.

Our next big electoral test will be the 2026 midterms and the work to win them starts now.

We have an opportunity to flip Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District on December 2nd. This is an open seat following the retirement of GOP Rep. Mark Green in July. Democratic candidate Aftyn Behn won the Democratic primary last month, and she has a chance to shock the world by winning this fairly Republican district. The race is within 10 points — you could be the difference!

Once you sign up, you’ll be mailed your free postcards within three days, so you should receive them within about a week or sooner. Included will be a voter list and instructions with three short message options. You’ll have until Nov 17 or Nov 21 to mail the postcards depending on the instructions you receive. As always, you’re responsible for providing the Postcard Stamps (currently $0.61).

With the midterm elections looming, it’s time to take back control of Congress. The national election is a mere 12 months away!

Please join us at a meeting of the Indivisible Lincoln Square Election Committee to strategize and plan how best to reach voters who will determine the future direction of the country.

Illinois is located within driving distance of two swing states, Wisconsin and Michigan.

In Wisconsin, our efforts have been crucial in flipping and keeping the Wisconsin Supreme Court progressive with the elections of Janet Protasiewicz and Susan Crawford.

Michigan canvassing starts Sunday, November 16, 2025 with “deep canvassing” which means, we will be doing more listening than talking, asking voters to share their views with us.
