Health, as defined by the World Health Organization in its 1948 constitution, is “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
The Indivisible Chicago Alliance will work toward achieving this level of care for communities, the state, and the country.
Core Beliefs
The organization believes that comprehensive health care is a human right to which any person within the United States should have full access, regardless of income, race, ethnicity, religious belief, gender, sexuality, country of origin, or citizenship.
The organization also believes that government has a major role in assuring high quality care to individuals, meeting the requirements of public health, addressing historic and continuing inequities in health care delivery, and ensuring that neither profitability concerns nor economic means obstruct access to comprehensive and high-quality health care.
