At the end of February, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives voted for a budget resolution that would result in cutting Medicaid, which provides health care to more than 72 million Americans. In Illinois this includes almost half of our children, two thirds of our seniors in nursing homes, and 40% of all pregnancies. MAGA wants to cut this and other essential services (like SNAP) so that they can continue tax giveaways to the ultra wealthy. They are trying to fool folks that this will “trickle down” benefits, though this has NEVER been shown to work.
