No Votes for the Coup
The Trump Administration is out of control, attempting to exercise a mandate they do not have to dismantle our government and harm our neighbors. They are attempting to take power from Congress by canceling federal loans and grants, firing nearly all workers at USAID, shutting down the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and giving unelected billionaire Elon Musk access to the Treasury and our personal information.
Democrats cannot be complicit in Trump's coup. If Democrats join Republicans in helping fund the government when the next federal funding bill is up for a vote, that is enabling Trump to continue with his plans to trample the Constitution.
If you have an Illinois Democratic Representative, send a letter telling them to vote NO on any funding bills, not trade their vote for concessions by the Republicans, and force the Republicans to pass their own funding bill.
